APPG co-chairs Caroline Lucas MP and Clive Lewis MP launching a Green New Deal bill, which sets out a transformative programme driven by the principles of justice and equity.
The Bill, formally titled Decarbonisation and Economic Strategy Bill, aims to move the UK economy away from its harmful dependence on carbon, at the scale and speed demanded by the science, and to build a society that lives within its ecological limits while reversing social and economic inequality.
Published to coincide with the launch of the Bill, a new report by the Green New Deal Group sets out what a Green New Deal will look like, explains what is in the Bill and how it could transform people’s lives for the better.
